Dashcam alerts and videos on the website

Request and watch dashcam videos in the web portal at blueinktech.com

Notifications and Route Maps

Administrators with notifications enabled will receive texts or emails when a dashcam event is recorded. Clicking the link in the email will take you to the vehicle's route map where the event occurred.

Click the request button on the map popup to upload the video recording of the event to the website. The dashcam will process the request immediately if it is online. If the dashcam is offline, the request will be processed the next time it comes online.

Activity Feed

Dashcam events are also logged in the vehicle's activity feed. Navigate there by clicking any blue link with the vehicle's name like the one above in the map popup. Or select Equipment > Vehicles from the menu bar and click the vehicle's name in the table.

Events in the activity feed have links to the route map location, and a request button to get the video uploaded to the website.

Once a video has been uploaded, the event will have a play button for viewing the video and a download button to save an .mp4 video file to your computer or device.

Request a Current Image or Video

Dashcams that are online will send a current image or video on request. These options are in the dashcam information section in the right panel of the vehicle page.

Click the picture button to receive a still image from the dashcam's road-facing camera.

Click the video button and select the forward or inward facing camera to receive a 15-second video clip of that view. The clip will include the 7 seconds before you clicked the button and the 7 seconds after you hit the button.

The new image or video will show up at the top of the activity feed when it is uploaded.

Offline cameras will process the request when they come back online.

Dashcam Files

Any videos or images that have been uploaded to the website will be saved to the Dashcam Files page so they will be easy to find later. Navigate there by selecting Dashcam > Dashcam Files from the menu bar.

Not Enough Data

Dashcam subscriptions have daily and monthly data limits. If a video file will use more data than is available for uploading, the request button will say UPGRADE instead. Hovering over this button will display whether it is the daily or monthly data limit that has been met.

For the daily limit, you can try requesting the video again the next day.

For the monthly limit, you may need to upgrade your plan to get that video uploaded.
