BIT Dashcam enables asset tracking without drivers logging into the Blue Ink Tech app
Live Tracking
The Dashcam is GPS-enabled and can be used to track live vehicle location on the BIT web portal dashboard map.
You will need to select the Vehicles tab on the map. The Dashcams are assigned to vehicles but not drivers unless the drivers are logging into the app daily and selecting their vehicles.
Live locations update every 30 seconds.
Dashcams that are powered off or in low power mode won't send new location data. The map will show the last known location for these vehicles until it receives a new location when the Dashcam comes online again. You can click on the vehicle pin on the map to see the timestamp of the last known location.
Route Map History
You can also see historical location data for vehicles equipped with BIT Dashcam.
Select Equipment from the navigation menu and then Vehicles. In the table, click the name of your vehicle.
When the vehicle record page loads, select the Route Map tab at the top of the page.
You can use the date selector at the top of the map to view different days. You can use the filters in the top-left of the map to add or remove different levels of information.
